Website Pitch Creative
The brief was fairly open, the client had a desire to step away from the corporate, clunky aesthetic of their current site, also to create something that would place them on a different level compared to their competitors. The likes of Apple, Christian Dior and Karl Lagerfeld's sites were all referenced in the supporting briefing docs. So the challenge was set!
I tried to create something that allowed all users to immediately engage with the company. The aim being to take their product offering (which is quite complex) and unite it under a common visual theme. This was to depict energy through engaging video and imagery. This concept won the pitch against some stiff competition.
The brief for this mini-project was to design a fictional adventure travel website aimed at a target audience of 18-35, clearly showing a user journey from home page to holiday details page. The time allowed for the project was 4 days.
I created a fictional company called 'discover' aimed at the upper end of the target age range, complete with logo identity, and a set of custom icons to ensure a strong brand message. The site design aimed to tread the line between function, and high-end magazine-style print design to captivate potential customers through powerful imagery.
